Bear Has Margarita in a Hot Tub, Twitter Implodes

Bears – they’re just like us!

A bear in Southern California, who apparently had a tough day, was recorded relaxing in a jacuzzi with the jets on before drinking a margarita that was left nearby on Friday, June 29.

Mark Hough, the Altadena resident and owner of the backyard the bear visited, tells FOX26 he first heard leaves rustling and twigs snapping before looking up and realizing a bear was climbing over his fence.

Hough then retreated inside – a smart move – only to emerge a short time later to find the furry animal “bobbling away in the jacuzzi enjoying himself.” That’s when Hough began recording the bear’s relaxing afternoon which, in addition to the dip in the jacuzzi, consisted of playing with the chlorinator and tossing the thermometer in the air.

The margarita, which Hough had made for himself, came after the bear’s brief jaunt in the jacuzzi. According to Hough the creature “popped out of the bushes, walked right over to the margarita, knocked it over and lapped it.”

And just when Hough thought the bear had retreated back to the woods, he spotted the animal about an hour later slumbering in a nearby tree. As Hough put it, “He had his margarita, he had his jacuzzi, and now he’s ready for an hour nap.”

Not surprisingly, many social media users could totally relate to the bear’s relaxing Friday afternoon! Check out some of the reactions below:

Guess that answers the question.
If a bear has a sore back in the woods does it find a hot tub.

That bear deserves a hot tub dip and a icy cold beverage! It’s rough out there in the forest! #PamperedBear

Even the bears have a laid back life in Southern California.
