
Shipping Wars star Roy Garber passed away on Friday, Jan. 17 after suffering a major heart attack. According to TMZ, the A&E star was rushed to a Texas hospital after the attack, but passed away shortly after.
Garber, who was 49 at the time of his death, has had an on-going heart condition, sources close to the reality star’s family tell TMZ. He leaves behind a longtime girlfriend, who broke the news, and his son Travis — who he raised by himself for more than 18 years.

In his A&E bio, Garber is described as a “serious jack-of-all-trades,” who was “one of the top earners in the country.” In addition to shipping, Garber was an “avid fisherman and master scuba diver.”
A rep for the show told TMZ, they are “deeply saddened by the loss of a member of the A&E family.”
